Home 2013 February It’s Done, Sort of!

It’s Done, Sort of!

It’s day 4 which means we need to finish sculpting today.

Here we are at the beginning of Day 4 (Saturday). Don’t know where the energy came from. Click for full size.

Terry is on the block, quick grab the camera. This is not a typical photo op for him. Click for full size.

Here is a strand of hair that contains one of the winter scenes, a stand of trees. Click for full size.

The carving part of the week is done. We had a reasonably good block to carve. It was 12ft across by 12ft deep by 10ft tall (actually was almost 13ft tall). There was some ice and debris with the occasional air pocket.

At the end of Day 4, you can see that the face is finished. How many snowflakes do you see? Click for full size.

We didn’t wrap up as early as we had hoped, but that’s OK. We were able to help some of the other teams earlier. In some cases it was manpower and in others it was tools or advice. We’ve been helped in all these ways in the past and it seemed fair to help others.
