Our Tools
People are always asking what kind of tools we use to carve snow. Here are some of the tools that we take with us. You should know that we take about 100 pounds of tools and other equipment with us. That doesn’t include our clothing.
You can see sandpaper, brushes, chisels, an ice auger, roofing truss joiners and specially designed tools. Each one does something different. For example, we use sandpaper to smooth out the ridges and marks created by the chisels and other sharp tools. There is also a wire wrapped around an orange string holder. This wire has grommets crimped onto it to create a saw that is capable of going through 25-feet of snow and sometimes ice.
