Hello, instead of doing a post each night after we were done, I thought I’d do just one at the end. It has lots of photos of our sculpture “Dream Catch” that we completed in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. We were invited by the La Ronge Arts Council to do a commission piece.
- Is Theressa really kicking Terry in the head?
- Theressa on top of the block watching as the loader cleans some of the snow.
- A wee bit frosty out
- Yes, that is Theressa in there
- Theressa is shaping the back of the fish
- Therssa is shaping the front of the fish
- We are carving under a full moon, what are those lights swirling around Theressa?
- Theressa is doing a short “How to” video for the La Ronge Arts Council
- Noon on day 2 – front
- Noon on day 2 – back
- Theressa giving some definition to the fish
- Front view on day 2 afternoon
- Dorsal fin
- The end of the carve — very cold and frosty

- Two tired and cold carvers with the finished sculpture
We’d like to thank Amanda from the Arts Council for inviting us, and Tonia from the Town of La Ronge for building the block and supplying us with power for the chainsaw and the lights.
We’d also like to acknowledge Kandis Riese, who stood out in the cold for several hours while we finished. She took some amazing videos and photos for us. Thank You Kandis.
