Welcome. Also, how to navigate the blog.
We would like to welcome you to our blog. You will be able to follow us as we travel about the country looking for snow blocks that are just aching to be carved. We have found blocks in places ranging from Charlottetown, PEI on the east coast to Whitehorse, YK in Canada’s northwest. In 2012, we had the good fortune of traveling to Harbin, China to participate in one of the largest snow and ice festivals in the world.
Our travels have found us convincing airport security that those sharp tools are just that – tools. They have looked at us very strangely as we explain why we need 100 pounds of sharp metal objects. Taxi drivers and event drivers look at our pile of bags and shudder.
If you’d like to read older posts, you can use the THROUGH THE YEARS menu (bottom of the page) to select a range of posts that are older, such as the January 2010 posts from Quebec.
If you haven’t read a blog before, you need to know that the most recent report (blog posting) is always at the top. You can find your way around by looking at the links that say OLDER POSTS or NEWER POSTS.
Many of the photos can be viewed larger just by clicking on them.
