Day 2 Carving

The day started out sunny and cold. Guess how it ended? If you said dark and cold you’d be almost right. Add some wind and you have very cold conditions of at least -25C with a windchill reaching -32C or so.

Kim working on the fingers
See, I told you “I have 4 fingers and 1 thumb”!!!
Theressa is carving the child’s face while perched 13ft in the air on a ladder
You can see the top taking shape

The snow is very hard and is making the carving go slower than we would like.

By the end of the day, we got the child sledding on the top of the sculpture completed. Tomorrow we tackle the giant curves and the face of Old Man Winter.
