Winnipeg Day 4

Guess what happened on the way to the snow sculpture event? If you guessed a cheese carving event, you’d be right. Theressa was asked to carve a 40 pound block of cheese on stage in 3 hours. Here is her sculpture. The results will be announced tomorrow (Monday, Feb 19).

So, you probably came to see snow sculpture photos. Here they are. It was a mixed bag as far as the weather was concerned. Cold and overcast in the morning turned into sunny skies in the afternoon. We will be going back Monday morning to finish one last element.

Theressa is pearing through one of the tunnels.
Yay, the tunnels ar done … sort of.
Kara, our super helper was able to get into some spaces we couldn’t.
Yes, that’s Kara again.
Two of the hunters are done on the side of the sculpture.
Carole is giving some hints to Kara.
Sorry Carole, it was a good shot … of the logo on your jacket.
Carole is working on smoothing out one of the tunnels.
