Winnipeg – Day 1

Hello folks,
We are at Winnipeg’s Voyageur Festival and we are expecting some cold weather today.

Our sculpture is called Polar Hunters. he description is: The biggest threat for Arctic life is not the polar bear, but it is the decreasing polar icecap that threatens the ecosystem, which endangers all who live there.

We’ve heard that the blocks are very solid as they were made 3 weeks ago and are made from artificial snow. If we can carve them, they should hold the lines and details well. Of course, for your viewing pleasure we will be adding photos this evening.

The blocks have been described as concrete. I guess we will have to see for ourselves!
