Well, we met everybody earlier this evening and renewed some friendships and hopefully started some more. We, then drew block #4 – All we know about it is that it will probably be close to the main entrance. Of course, being in Manitoba, we caught some ribbing about Saskatchewan. Good thing we have Carole with us to translate.
The real excitement started when we got back to the hotel and contacted the front desk that one of the beds was broken (insert laugh here!!). They decided to move us so, at 10:45pm we changed rooms. We are lucky in that it was on the same floor … very lucky as we had already unpacked everything. Then, just as we had finished moving the fire alarm went off and they told us to go to the lobby. Four years ago we experienced an alarm at 4:00am in Edmonton. This time we weren’t sleeping.
The good thing, if you can say there is one, is that we chatted with many of the other sculptors and shared a bottle of Estonian liquor. It was very tasty and warmed you up nicely.
It’s midnight and 6:30am is quickly approaching. Good night.
