Home 2014 February Day 3: Sun, Clouds and Stumbles

Day 3: Sun, Clouds and Stumbles. We've become an international team.

The title says it all. We started the day with some wonderful blue skies and then transitioned into grey skies. The stumble part was … just before supper, Terry tried to be nimble on his feet. The end result was a bruised ankle and a probable concussion. Rest assured, he did NOT fall off the block, but stumbled over blocks of snow and a bag of tools.

I think you have to shave off this much snow
Back of the cup is taking shape

If I cut here, and you cut here …
Theressa and Carole hug Fabien for his help tonight

We had some help this evening. Fabien (France), along with Lluis and Enrique (Catalanya) helped remove snow from the back of the block. As a result, the shape of the cup and hands has really popped out of the original block of snow. Tomorrow is our last day and we will be carving for about 6 hours to get the piece finished.
