It was an easy drive to Edmonton, unlike the 12 hour plane ride to Harbin.
This evening we met for a meet and greet with the festival organizers and many of the other sculptors. There are a few familiar faces here — Eileen and Larry from Edmonton. Also, we met up with David and Paul from Minnesota Big Snow. The team name should be familiar as we carved with their teammates in Harbin. After greeting us they mentioned that Theressa and I are the only two carvers to have carved with all 6 team members.
When we got around to picking the blocks we drew number 3. That was my favorite number when I was younger and playing hockey. Let’s hope that this is karma.
