We were supposed to start carving our piece “Home Snow Home” down at River Landing at 10:00am. It took us a while, but we finally got to the site and found that one of the other carvers had already been there. We took one of the other blocks and got started.
Our sculpture is going to be four different snowmen holding their arms up to create a roof-like structure. And since snowman live outside, they didn’t need a roof over their heads, so our home isn’t going to have one either.
We carved most of the afternoon before breaking for supper. After supper, Theressa’s brother, John, came by and offered to help out. He worked for about 90 minutes and did a great job digging out the middle part of the block. We now have the basic shapes done.
