2010 Quebec Day 3 – We’re Done with the Ice Block

Contrary to all our hopes, the centre of the block was not soft. We had had visions of working with softer snow as we worked towards the middle. There were pockets of ice inside the pockets of ice. We finished at 9:00am and came back to the hotel without talking to the judges. I just came back from breakfast and I’m exhausted and feel like I’ve gone 15 rounds with a heavyweight fighter. I’m heading for bed because in a few short hours we have to get up and parade down to the sculpture site for the awards ceremony. I’ll post more later.
