2011 Whitehorse Day 3 – A Long Day’s Journey into a Longer Night

After the late night last night, we got a wee bit later start this morning. We were on site and working by 10:00am. We had to figure out the eyes and that took us a long time. Once we got started on the block, things really started to move. Terry spent some time shaping and scrapping the inside of the wings while Theressa and Kim were working on the back of the owl and the two ice features, the sun and the moon, that were going there.

By late afternoon, we had the outside of the wings shaped and ready for sanding and then putting the designs onto them. Terry and Kim added to the front of the wings and Theressa worked at getting the final shape to the owl. All in all, things are looking good.

It is right after supper and we came back to the hotel to change into dry clothes in anticipation that we might pull an all-nighter. We’re hoping this isn’t the case, but we would rather be prepared. I’ll do another posting later if we get a break.
