The chopping, scraping, and sanding is done here in Winnipeg. Like we always seem to do, we finished late in the day, but we finished well … at least we think so. We heard some great comments and that sure is appreciated after putting in about 140 man hours in total.
Kim says “This was my first time participating as a snow sculptor at the Voyageur Festival. It is a fantastic festival and a big thank you to organizers (Crystel and company), the drivers, and all the many people behind the scenes who made the festival such a great experience. my teammates, my friends, who made this such a great experience. It was great to carve again with good friends, make some new friends, and create art with the snow.”
Theressa says “Our sculpture, HéHo Bonne Fête Festival was warmly received by the Festival goers and fellow snow carvers. Eventually the snow sculpture will melt, but the photos, memories and impressions it leaves build upon the long tradition of snow sculpture in Winnipeg. I am grateful and feel privileged to have been part of it for 11 Festivals.”
