We started the day feeling good about what we had accomplished on day 1. We got a surprise when we were offered the services of a young man from Germany who was wanted to volunteer. Terry was leery at first but Theressa really felt that we could use his help. Partway through the day’s work Terry admitted that he was wrong. Ole Milbrodt was a heck of a worker and judging by the amount of snow that he removed, he probably ensured that we might finish on time.
We weren’t going to work after supper, but Ole was available (and willing) so, even though Carole went home feeling quite sick, we went back and worked for two more hours. Carole’s canoe turned out great and was perfect for the two polar bears that Theressa carved. We also were able to punch through the block.
